About ARSAN
Asia Region Survivors & Allies Network is a newly launched,
bold initiative of the Asia Freedom Network (AFN).
Survivors and allies are coming together, not as separate voices but as one collective force, reimagining what justice, healing and leadership look like.
Rooted in lived experience and shared commitment, ARSAN is creating a space where power is held collectively, systems are challenged and survivor leadership is not just recognised but centred.
Across borders, identities and movements, we are building solidarity that moves beyond charity or protection; toward lasting change driven by those most impacted.

Our Story
ARSAN officially launched on 28 May 2025, with 14 survivor and ally representatives from Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and India.
The idea for ARSAN took root at the 2023 Asia Regional Anti-Trafficking (ARAT) Conference in Bali, where a vision of shared leadership, healing, and regional collaboration emerged.
ARSAN is currently being incubated by AFN for two years, after which it will transition into a fully independent, survivor-and-ally-led network with its governance and strategy.
